Setting the idle speed, fuel/air mixture, carburetor balance, spark plug and distributor point gaps, and ignition timing were regular maintenance items for all older engines and the final but essential steps in setting up a racing engine. On modern engines, equipped with electronic ignition and fuel injection, some or all of these tasks are automated, although they still require periodic calibration.

If you are in the area I would definitely recommend that you try to make it to this show. This is supposed to be the premier car show that will cater to the aftermarket industry and media of all kinds. Read their mission statement. Also take a look at the companies and magazines that will be in attendance.

The driver initiates gear changes using paddles mounted on the back of the steering wheel and electro-hydraulics perform the actual change as well as throttle control.

The fuel used in F1 cars is fairly similar to ordinary gasoline, albeit with a far more tightly controlled mix. Formula One fuel cannot contain compounds that are not found in commercial gasoline, in contrast to alcohol-based fuels used in American open-wheel racing.

Arguably the best thing to happen to formula one in the last few seasons occurred yesterday when Bernie Ecclestone announced that ITV were effectively sacked and would no longer running UK coverage !!! It has been a long time coming with so many fans up in arms with the coverage, the commentators (name James “I am the smugmeister” Allen and the continual commercial breaks.

Tuning Shows often offer not only great car and bike modifications but also some brilliant girls! Car modifying has been very popular among youth in the United States, especially in Southern California, since the days of hot rods in the 1950s and 1960s.

An average F1 car can decelerate from 100-0 km/h (62-0 mph) in about 17 metres (55 ft), compared with a 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo which takes 31.4 metres (103 feet). When braking from higher speeds, aerodynamic downforce enables tremendous deceleration.

The FIA is hoping to rid F1 of small winglets and other parts of the car (minus the front and rear wing) used to manipulate the airflow of the car. This is in order to not only decrease downforce, but also to increase drag.

Expo attendees began arriving Sunday night and the scene was as you'd expect: Brake adjustments were made, parts were swapped out, and engines were fine-tuned. The paddock wrenching, however, was overshadowed by the events taking place just outside.

The plethora of incidents and safety car periods combined with a track that was falling apart meant that the on track action in Montreal was a little on the ugly side. Behind the scenes in the paddock though, beauty was in evidence in the form of the Red Bull Formula Unas and the obligatory grid girls.

The story of this weekend is BMW. In the last 25 years, since Brabham went down, the three top teams, Williams, McLaren and Ferrari, have had their cosy grip on the sport broken by just one team – Renault (nee Benetton), who won two drivers' titles in the 1990s and another two in the 2000s.

While it is a fact that nice girls just love nice cars, it is also clear that selling a car with some hot girl on its exhibition is an easy task. Baby Margaretha, is one of car exhibition hot girls.

Cornering is vital to the business of racing cars, and Formula One is no exception. On straights the battle tends to be determined by the power of engine and brakes, but come the corners and the driver's skill becomes more immediately apparent. It's the area where an ace pilot can extract the tiny advantage that makes the difference between winning and losing.

Car races are also great places to find horny cuties. I think mainly it is because most of the races are held in nice sunny places. Hot, tropical weather is better for getting more babes into bikinis and skimpy outfits.

Is it the colorful cars, burning rubber or fascination with speed? That could be part of it but everytime I go to these things their is one constant and that is SMOKING HOT WOMEN. It is unreal! They say sex sells and most industries use it to sell their stuff, but why would a product so heavily geared towards the manly man need to have sexy woman?

While the Circuit de Catalunya was never going to serve up thrilling wheel-to-wheel racing, it did break with recent tradition and provide plenty of dramatic incidents. Spanish Grands Prix at Barcelona have been pretty dull in the past but this one had plenty of action and incident to keep you interested. It’s great news that Heikki Kovalainen is okay after piling into the tyres at 140mph after a suspected wheel rim failure on his McLaren.

They've "meshed three hallmarks of upscale Southern California life: attractive women, luxury automobiles and the desire to avoid parking your own car, whatever the cost".

Apparently a few of the Fuel Girls (The automotive world’s SuicideGirls) are going to accompany Team Fuel and their Mansory tuned Bentley Continental GT during this year’s Gumball 3000. Though I’m assuming they’re there to entertain everyone, a disastrous distraction is what will most likely occur as other drivers do anything they can to keep up with the hottie filled flier.
