Just when you thought Formula 1 would be basking in the glory of one of the most thrilling climaxes to a grand prix in recent memory, a cloud of controversy hangs over the sport once again after Lewis Hamilton was stripped of his Belgian Grand Prix victory.

This is how my day began, shooting race cars and pretty girls at Mosport. It was bright, sunny and hot as hell this morning and the on track action was pretty hot too. Also hot were some of the hired help around the circuit.

Valet Girls, California Girls and other companies (including the swell-named Valet of the Dolls) have found a winning formula, according to the Times. They've "meshed three hallmarks of upscale Southern California life: attractive women, luxury automobiles and the desire to avoid parking your own car, whatever the cost".

Probably the most intimidating motor show in South East Asia, Bangkok presents the Bangkok International Motor Show for 2008. You know it wouldn’t be complete without the Tom Yummy girls.

Race queen is a Japanese term for a type of promotional model found as part of a pit crew in certain kinds of motor racing. Their job is very demanding and dangerous. Japanese Race Queens are often required to wear very small amounts of tight fitting clothing to reduce the risk of it getting caught during rapid pit-stop wheel changes.

Even more entertainment is provided by the Racing Girls. They are hired models paid to stand around and advertise, with large logos on small clothes. You got to love it!

In Monaco the grid girls as as beautiful as ever, but with all the stars and glamour elsewhere, they are sometimes overshadowed by other stars. Grid girls hold flags on the grid at all the races, without exception.

This is a "brief" example of some of the many other sights of SEMA. The "booth babes" were spectacular again this year and I imagine they're the reason some guys attend :) This one featured independent rear suspension and comfortable footwear.

Though I’m assuming they’re there to entertain everyone, a disastrous distraction is what will most likely occur as other drivers do anything they can to keep up with the hottie filled flier.

A question I could not answer and has always intrigued me. It's the pit babes. Why do every driver carries around two girls that pose behind him for the camera using caps with the sponsors logo, one on each shoulder, on every TV interview? "Las chicas de coro" or "Promotoras" (the "chorus girls" or "promoters").

The Tokyo Motor Show is a classy affair -- all the world's major auto manufacturers are there after all -- so it isn't the massive display of flesh and vinyl that the Tokyo Auto Salon is. That said, there were still plenty of hot ladies around willing to let us take their pictures.

As we were going through the official press site looking for car pics we happened to notice the absurd number of images with women and that’s not including the show car babes. Don’t get us wrong; one of the first things we do at European car salons is to visit the Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Fiat stands, but it did made us think of what Fiat has turned Lancia into.
