Kathrine Legge is the most recent woman to drive an F1 car, performing a test for Minardi a couple of years ago. Damon Hill's break in F1 came as a replacement for Giovanna Amati, who entered, but failed to qualify in a number of F1 races.
Davina Galica had a go, unsuccessfully. The most successful female driver would be Lella Lombardi, who competed in and completed a number of F1 races, including 6th place in a rain shortened event (sorry, don't have that in the memory banks!) thereby earning half a world championship point and being the only woman to score in the championship to date.
